Thirst addon adds another dimension of realism to Minecraft PE by making water consumption obligatory. Before, your character in the game would only experience hunger but no thirst. This is actually funny because the human body can live less without water, than without food.
You can get sick drinking non purified water straight from the river. It will cause poisoning that will deplete your hunger bar.
How to get fresh water
Freshwater supply can be solved simply by living by the river and diving in the hour of need to refill the thirst bar. However, it’s not the most convenient way, and it limits your ability to travel far. A proper water reservoir would solve that problem.
Other ways to restore thirst:
- Watermelon Slices, Apples, or Milk, Stews, Soups → Restores 20% thirst
- Purified Water Bottle (Heated in a Furnace) → Restores 60% thirst
