Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.111, also called The Copper Age, brings a wave of new copper-related features and blocks to the game. Players can now craft copper bars, chains, torches, and lanterns, all of which oxidize over time just like other copper blocks. Copper armor, tools, and weapons are also being introduced, giving players a new equipment tier that sits between leather and iron. Horses aren’t left out either, as they can now be equipped with copper horse armor.

One of the most exciting additions is the Copper Golem, a small helper mob that can transfer items between copper chests and regular chests. Over time, the golem can oxidize into a Copper Golem Statue, a decorative block that can even be waxed to preserve its look.

What’s new

Alongside these new mechanics, the update introduces the Shelf block, which can hold up to three items and interact with redstone through comparators. Many of these copper blocks and statues follow the familiar oxidation and waxing mechanics, adding new depth to decoration and automation.

The update also includes plenty of quality-of-life changes, from improved accessibility features to bug fixes and adjustments to redstone behavior.
