Spartan Shields addon adds more unique shields into Minecraft PE 1.17.30, and we love it. Isn’t it crazy that we’ve had a single shield this whole time?! What about personalization, style?
Wooden Shield
The most basic shield, made of wood, looks dull. Serves as the base element for the creation of other shields.
- Durability – 30 hits
- Knockback – 0
- Can’t be enchanted
Golden Shield
Upon destruction, the shield heals its holder for full health once. Also, Piglins won’t take you for an enemy.
- Durability – 30 hits
- Knockback Strength – 1
Stone Shield
This shield has nothing special to it, but it’s reliable.
- Durability – 60 hits
- Knockback strength – 1
Iron Shield
The iron shield looks a bit wider, and it’s obviously tougher, but there is nothing special to it.
- Durability – 90 hits
- Knockback strength – 2
Diamond shield
The diamond shield can be considered as an advanced model – it consists of diamonds, after all.
- Durability – 150 hits
- Knockback strength – 2
Netherite shield
Netherite shield is immune to lava and fire. If that wasn’t enough – it will indicate to you when piglins are nearby.

- Knockback strength – 3
Obsidian shield
- Durability – 200 hits
- Knockback strength – 3
- Knockback resistance
- Has a 10 percent critical attack chance when used as a weapon.
