Armor Plus addon

Armor Plus proves that Minecraft Bedrock’s equipment system has tons of untapped potential. By giving each armor set a distinct identity and useful abilities, it transforms gearing up from a chore into an adventure. Yes, obtaining these sets requires effort, but the payoff—whether it’s revealing ores through walls, double-jumping across chasms, or becoming an underwater tank—makes every grind worthwhile.

Let me walk you through what makes each set worth crafting:

  • Sculkite Armor is your Deep Dark explorer’s best friend. The full set lets you reveal ores through walls by sneaking (5-second cooldown), which is absurdly useful for safe mining. Any single piece grants immunity to Darkness—basically making Wardens less terrifying. The tools are slower than diamond but destroy deepslate and sculk blocks.
  • Enderite Armor gives you a tactical teleport mechanic. Sneak mid-air to drop a marker, sneak again to teleport back—perfect for cliff diving or quick escapes. Tools work like portable bundles (genius for inventory management), and weapons apply Slowness to enemies.
  • Dragon Armor is pure power fantasy. Full set grants fire resistance, double jump, and fall damage immunity. Wearing just two pieces gives you a 15% chance per piece to set attackers on fire.
  • Aeronite Armor turns you into a human wind cannon. Get hit, and nearby mobs get blasted with Wind Charges. Two pieces give you projectile immunity and automatic Wind Charge launches.
  • Aquanite Armor makes underwater content actually enjoyable. Each piece adds 2 hearts underwater (full set = 8 extra hearts), plus Conduit Power without needing an actual conduit. Tools deal triple damage to underwater mobs.
  • Apiarite Armor summons defensive bees (one per piece) and grants Poison immunity. Tools heal you when killing mobs and restore saturation when mining.
  • Shulkite Armor has the highest durability in the game and summons Shulker Bullets to defend you (one per two pieces). Immunity to Levitation is situational but nice. Tools can manually summon defensive bullets.

The Rough Edges

Crafting complexity. Each set requires specific ingots with unique recipes (often involving multiple rare materials). While this adds depth, it can feel grindy if you want multiple sets. You’ll need to plan expeditions carefully.

Potential balancing concerns. Some abilities—like Enderite’s teleport or Dragon’s double jump—are so good they might make other sets feel less appealing for general use. The “meta” will probably settle around 2-3 favorites.

Learning curve. With six sets and multiple abilities per set, new players might feel overwhelmed. The addon could benefit from in-game documentation or tooltips explaining what each piece does.

New armor sets

The set bonuses are creative without being gimmicky. Summoning bees, launching Wind Charges, teleporting—these aren’t just stat boosts with fancy names. They’re mechanics that genuinely change how you approach situations. That Sculkite ore-revealing ability alone has saved me hours of strip mining.

My personal favorites are Enderite (that teleport is addictive) and Aquanite (finally making ocean content fun), but I appreciate that others might gravitate toward Dragon’s power or Sculkite’s utility. That’s good design.
