Zombies have risen to infest the Minecraft Bedrock world, bringing a new and improved breed of the undead. This mod simulates the progression of a zombie apocalypse from the initial outbreak to the final days. During these grim times, zombies will evolve from slow, weak creatures into a new generation of predators capable of running, leaping, and even doubling in size.
Progressive Difficulty
The apocalypse begins on Day One. The virus spreads slowly at first, so zombies appear in moderation. However, every 8 days, a spike in difficulty occurs, increasing spawn rates and introducing new zombie types. A difficulty bar will be displayed on your screen to track the threat level.
Warning: If you are bitten by a zombie, your days are numbered—only a Golden Apple can cure the infection.
Zombie Varieties
Mutations have allowed zombies to evolve beyond their original limitations. They no longer burn in sunlight and have developed unique specializations:
- Miner Zombies: Capable of breaking blocks to get to you.
- Block Placer Zombies: Can place blocks to bridge gaps or climb walls.
- Witch Zombies: Use and throw various potions.
- Bomber Zombies: Launch TNT at their targets.
- Ender Zombies: Teleport using Ender Pearls.
- Jumpers: Leap at players and onto high ledges.
- Crawlers: Able to crawl through small spaces.
- Revealers: Scream to expose your location before fleeing.
- Spitters: Shoot projectiles from a distance.
- Giants: Massive entities that summon fangs and crush players.
- Tanks: Heavily armored and incredibly resilient.
- Necromancers: Capable of summoning hordes of lesser zombies.
Occasionally, the world will turn red as a Blood Moon rises, significantly increasing zombie spawn rates for the night.
An Altered World
Abandoned houses and decaying structures give the world a proper apocalyptic atmosphere. Often filled with loot, these buildings help you manage resource scarcity. They can also easily become your safe house—especially if you reinforce them with traps and defenses.
To enhance immersion, this addon also features custom blood effects and realistic body physics for all zombies.
